sounds a bit odd,i would send it back, nothing to loose

Has the motor overheated at any point?
Velineon motors (and others) have been known to do this when hitting high temperatures.
The rotor might of just worked itself loose, but if high temperatures are endured the glue that holds the rotor onto the shaft heats up and works loose.

no motor max has been 72c i wondered if bearings has seiezed up has last few weeks racing seems to sapping my lipo battery more than normal

1. Never free-rev the motor at anything more than half throttle.
2. Keep the temperature below 70c (external). 72 should be okay.
3. Oil the bearings occasionally and replace if they start to feel tight or rough.

You could of just bought a rotor since sp sell those separately

reg 02-05-2011 02:29 PM

if they are all the same iv got a rotor from a 7.5 sp v3

Big G 02-05-2011 04:37 PM

The rotor in my 10.5 was 12.3mm compared to my 5.5, 6.5 and 7.5 which all had 12.5mm rotors

Might be the same in the 13.5
