Brushless in 2WD or 4WD?
Hello,
I plan to run both 2WD and 4WD at some regionals next year. I have one Nosram Matrix Brushless setup, and one MTroniks IP6 Brushed setup. Eventually, I will run brushless in both, but for a while, one of the cars will need to be brushed. Which car should I run the brushless system in? and why? Or does it not matter? Thanks. |
What ever car your going to use the most.. or if both will be equaly used - then put it in the 4wd.. 4wd racing with 0 maintinance is the best thing ever!
You can go to multiple meetings with a 2wd brushed set up. |
if it was me i would put the brushed in the 2wd because their tends to be less maintence and also i think the brushed motors give a more steady power delivery.
up to you though lil ben |
Brushed in 2wd all the way. Better motor access for skimming etc, better weather resistance for the 'summer'.

Yeah mainly to do with motors getting hotter in 4wd, because of being enclosed within the shell, I would run 4wd brushless, 2wd brushed.

OK, seems pretty clear cut here. I'll put the matrix in the B44 when it gets built.
Cheers for the replies. Chris. |
