The Lawford Buggy Club is hosting a very special one off indoor GP.

24 February 2008

East Bergholt Sports Centre, Heath Road, East Bergholt, Colchester, Essex, CO7 6RJ.

There will be separate heats & finals for both 2WD & 4WD 1:10th scale electric off-road buggies, 6 Qualifying heats* each + a Final, with trophies in each class up for grabs!

The track will be both challenging & fun with a mixture of jumps and bumps as well as carpet & slippery gym floor sections.

The meeting will be limited to 24 drivers in each class (subject to alteration if too many book-in for one particular class), and is open to non-members and drivers of all abilities....so book in fast!

Booking in for this special one-off event must be done in advance, by posting the following details in the clubs booking-in section by clicking the below link.

£6.00 entry fee, payable on the day. Racing will commence shortly after 10am on Sunday 24th February 2008.

There will be NO tyre, motor, battery or weight restrictions.


* All racing at LBC is proper lap racing, hence our club motto 'Tempus non Sequitur' which simply means 'time is not important'!
All qualifying races are of 6 or 7 laps duration (approx. 3 and a half mins.) and Finals are 8 to 10 laps.

Each driver has 6 qualifying races and a Final.

Points are awarded per heat as follows: 1st- 5 points; 2nd- 4; 3rd- 3; 4th- 2; 5th- 1; 6th or failure to finish- 0. Points will be awarded (where applicable) if a driver has entered his/her last lap.

19 days to go until this event - Booking-in closes at midnight on Friday 17th Feb.

Open to drivers of ALL abilities

There are currently just 4 places left in the 4WD class :woot:

There are currently 16 places left in the 2WD class - Come on 2WD drivers, where are you all! :eh?:

Every heat at this event will be a race to the finish. You will not be racing against the clock, but against the other drivers in the heat. You will then simply score points depending on the order you finish, which will determine the grid order for the finals!

This will make for one exciting meeting.... make sure you're there!

Due to my entry being accepted late (?), the qualifying table posted above has been amended ( 2WD only I believe ).
Please check the latest qualifying rounds table on LBC's website as I don't want to be the cause of more trouble than I already have been.:p

Thanks again to Jim and Lee for fixing ( no pun intended ) it for me.:)

Hi, I dont have any yellow mini-pins, is there anywhere to buy tyres on the day? or does anyone have any they want to sell? 4wd....thanks:D

Spare ZX-5 parts
 
is anyone else running a ZX5, and if so do you have any spare shock tower mounts, I only have 1 spare and I dont think thats gonna be enough!!!!:D

Carl, I've just spoken to Dave and he's bringing down some mini-pins on behalf of the shop at Gorleston I believe. Should be ok for rears but the fronts maybe 2WD.

well done Lawford lads, a good days racing, nice track layout, I hope the carpet shop don't spot any damage to there sample squares:thumbsup:.

Well done NBC lads 2wd simon ( fastest 2wd I saw all day:p) & chris both in the A and 4wd carl had a good day shame about the final, I didn't have a bad day eather:)
