Lazer zx sport help

Hi all, Ive just bought myself a lazer zx sport and was wondering if i can fit the zxr chassis and upper deck? also do the shock towers fit. Has anyone got a zx sport manual or pdf manual? Im also after the gold shocks that were used on the zxr (i currently have optima plastic ones, well 3 and a tamiya cv as the 4th) I'll post some pics soon

zx sport

i don't think that there is a zx-sport manual on retromodelisme and even on the net, try to find somebody who can make a scan of a original english manual.
i allready searched for it a few months ago, i have also a zx sport and the layout is allmost the same as a zx-R not the RR version! and parts are interchangeble.

i bought my zx-sport from sweden and the manual is not that good and in swedish language, d'oh.

original parts are very hard to find, more difficult than zx-r(R) parts.

mine needs a body and then it's finished

i bought the original decals a few months ago on ebay.

best regards

Isn't the bodyshell the same as the zxr. If it is, have you looked at a seller on ebay called teambluegroove? He has made a nice replica of the zxr shell. Their bodyshells are excellent, I bought a top force one a while back.

All the parts between the different early Lazer ZX, ZX-R and ZX-Sport models are interchangeable, the ZX-RR being the exception due to the relocated battery meaning it has a unique chassis, top deck and motor mount. Everything else is interchangeable between all models so you can mix and match transmission and suspension parts between them all.

The ZX-Sport uses plastic versions of the ZX/ZX-R chassis and top deck and are identical in size and shape. The shock mounts are same as the ZX but without the black anodizing and the ZX-Sport uses the same body as the ZX-R.

The biggest difference is the ZX-Sport layshaft, which has a plastic hub that the spur gear bolts onto and no one way that all the others have. If you want to fit a slipper then both the ZX-R and ZX-RR ones will fit straight in but you do have to replace the whole layshaft assembly which certainly isn't cheap.

For a manual the nearest is a mix between the Lazer ZX http://www.retromodelisme.com/manuel...zx-kyosho.html for the suspension and the Lazer ZX-R http://www.retromodelisme.com/manuel...-r-kyosho.html for the chassis parts.

Thanks terry, Ive always been a schumacher man but i remember my dad having the zxr and saying what a great car it was. Ive been on the fybre lyte site and seen they do a complete carbon set. I dont think the budget will run to a complete set but im definately going to fit the the shock towers. I will add some pics later tonight of the current condition.
