Thx 4 those pics. But I´m a bit dissapointed about what I see. The main reason it got my attention was the battery location. Flat to the chassie. With this position it is possible to make the chassie more narrow. But it isnt more narrow than other layouts that I have seen..... Back to the drawingboard. My only hope now is Robitronic....:wub

i dont think this is the finished item. its a conversion on a nitro chassis apparently

Aside from me being a 4s1p kinda guy it always bugged me they put 2s packs on their sides like that increasing center of gravity when there is obvious space to lie them down.

That conversion is a whole lot different than what Durango DEX408 looks like.

Any word on this if its going to be a reality or not? Want one really bad. Tired of the small 1:10 scale. Old eyes, old eyes;)

I love the 1/8 size, where races 1/8 electric though?

HarlowS 14-10-2011 05:59 PM

I think there is a club swindon way too. Can't remember now, I did look into it but not many places race them permanently so I aimed to go nitro... don't know what's happening now ?

Nene Valley Raceway 14-10-2011 07:23 PM

nene valley electric

Nene valley raceway at northampton race electric with nitro. We have just redeveloped our fantastic new astro track to make it more 1/8th friendly.

Skye 14-10-2011 08:50 PM

Dont the nitro leave the electric powered cars behind? :eh?:

Have Nene Valley ever ran a dedicated 1/10 EP event? It's actually the closest track to me by a long way but with only having 1/10 EP cars I have never ventured down there.

I would like to run Nitro at sometime but was talking to someone last week who has switched to 1/10 EP from 1/8 Nitro as he said the Nitro was too expensive and labour intensive. 11 motors used in a season and new sets of tyres for every race at £40 a set.... I can't afford that!! :o

11 motors in a season ??? Was he running without his body shell and air filter on ??? That seems a touch excessive ? In one season. Unless he was sponsored and that a new motor for each race ?

You are right on the tyres though...

eyeayen 15-10-2011 09:25 AM

News on the new electric Durango here incase anyone has missed it...

He was sponsored by Losi and Novarossi (SP?) so maybe that's why he got through so many... :eh?:

The 1/8 electric are as quick as nitro but as with everything it depends on motor and battery.
Electric is slightly more expensive initially but cheaper in the long run. No fuel or engines to replace.
We don't run 1/10 but Telstra racing run an event in Milton keynes which gets about 40 drivers a week.

In one of the pics in the news (this one right here) you can just make out two blue square thingies (behind the cvd's) these could easily be lipos.

So chances are its 2s2p and the lipos are flat on the chassis

Also, the spurgearslipperential seems to bee more centerd and slightly up more up front than in the dnx.

And ofc, the body looks a bit narrower...
EDIT: never mind, looking at therse 2 pics: (DNX, DEX the bodys are the same width)
