DX3S / DX3R EL BLUE BACKLIGHTS
spotted on rctech
http://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-el...acklights.html The price below is for a DIY job I believe. Quote:
Anyone in the UK that could offer the parts to do it so I don't need to buy from the USA? |
The kit sounds a little expensive tbh.
What you need is a 5v to 110v inverter, a suitably sized electro-luminescent panel and a switch if you want to be able to switch it on and off. I would not expect the whole lot to cost more than 10-12 quid. I did my DX3S in amber but on second thoughts should have done it in blue as the lcd was pretty much unreadable without the light on. The EL-Panels can be cut to size if you seal the edges with sellotape after cutting. Be warned though as the panel and inverter will give off a high pitched hum which can be annoying. I found I didn't hear it when racing but it was a tad annoying when practising on my own. |
