Short course raceing

Hi there i am looking to get involved in rc raceing as i am now bored with rc rock crawlers.

I was just wandering if there is a short course truck class at seaham.

i live in haswell just down the road so is not so far for me to travel.

Or what are the differnt class's and what would be the best 2wd or 4wd buggy and set-up for a first timer.

short course isn't that popular, but we do have a number of club sc10s, so we could put on a race if you wanted to go that way.
Most racing at Seaham and in the NE is 1/10th 2wd and 4wd, so much more option for competition.
Popular cars are:
2wd: associated b4, X Factory X6, Losi 22, Schumacher Cougar
4wd: Caster SK10, Associated B44, Schumacher Cat SX, Durango 410

The Caster is particularly good value in RTR format.
