Big Bores on their way?
Parts for Shizuoka hobby show in may:
[TRF] TRF Damper Large Diameter Retainer (4pcs.) [TRF] Buggy HL Aeration Damper Set Now they already have the latter, so my guess is the new ones are BIGGER Weirdly, no sign of springs.... |
No big bores, just HL damper cylinders instead of "standard" cylinders.
|
Nah, damper retainers are the shock bottoms.
Thought the same thing at first when i saw it on the release list for May. The HL package seems nice tho. HL cylinders, titanium rods and moulded pistons. |
But they already have hl buggy dampers, have done for 2 years, so what are these? And the shock bottom states "larger diameter", why?
Current dampers: 42132, 42133 |

With HL cylinders i might be inclined to order a set of those to have as back ups. |
Never notriced, Carno, that Jesus had the same pink shirt as Tamiya wheels are. :woot: He would love it
Regarding the damper Carno is right. If you order a set of TRF Aeration damper now it is the normal shock bodies and no titanium shafts i think. The new ones might be worth buying for spares as you get the titanium shock shafts,HL cylinder and (moulded or machined i´m unsure) piston guides. |
part number
42192 TRF Damper Large Diameter Retainer (4pcs.) 42198 Buggy HL Aeration Damper Set Gr M |
the large damper retainers are more for the Touring cars so they can use HPI springs as well. I dont think they are bigger than the current Buggy shock retainers.

Btw I think it's machined pistons. I've just been mixing the two up. Moulded ones are the one you get with the kit. |
