No. Inserts are different to shims !!
The shims are the flat pieces of plastic
The inserts are the plastic parts that fit in the front pivot block

In the LRC kit
The shims are thinner
The inserts are thicker

In the HRC kit

The shims are thicker
The inserts are thinner

This is because the shim and the insert work together so that the pivot block can move up or down whilst maintaining gearbox at a standard height!!

The LRC shims and inserts are marked with a T after the numbers whilst the HRC set isn't.

Reg, I only realised yesterday that the shims have got notches out of them corresponding to which number they are. For example the 2 degree one has two full depth slots in, the 2.5 degree one has the two full depth plus a third half depth one in the centre, etc. Mine don't have any numbers on that I could see.
