Here's the proof that young drivers and fast cars don't mix. A 20-year-old in Germany managed to get hold of the keys to his dad's ultra-rare Gumpert Apollo and binned it.

He lost control of the supercar, which has a starting price of £215k, on a sharp bend 50 miles north of Hamburg, Germany.

The driver and his 19-year-old female passenger escaped with only minor injuries but the smash was so severe that one of the gullwing doors was ripped off and landed 100ft away.

Here,s my effort at 18. A £450 1971 vauxhall Victor 2000sl. 60mph up a 9 inch kerb, broke front suspension, (see toe out)now about 3 ft airborne through a hedge dented all the side panels, through a 6inch tree then a wall and killed 6 garden gnomes.
Bloke in the house went beserk "I,ve got 6 kids asleep in the house he screamed"
"Good job they not playing in the garden then innit" my pissed up mate replies. Cue the police.

And I thought knocking a bit off the crossmember of my XR4x4 with some impromptu off-roading at the end of an unnoticed cul-de-sac was a bit out there - not even close to this clown! Fine job.
