Essentials for the B44
 

I recently had my first race evening at Silverstone with my B44 buggy.

I was wondering if anyone had a essential list of spares for the B44 so that I could be prepared for the most common accident damage?

I have figured out that front suspension arms are a must, but anything else?

Front shock shafts seem to snap in big front end crashes. Shock towers and steering arms/rear hubs, depending it they are plastic or alloy. some spare wheel bearings are a good idea. Most of this is the basic stuff you would carry, there may be other stuff on the B44, but i only know of front shafts being a particular issue.

I would put front shock towers on my list...although the B44.1 and after-market ones (e.g. Atomic Carbon etc) are thicker than the original B44 ones and are stronger.

I think some people have had problems with front shock shafts too.

Front shock shafts and/or get a bigger bumper

When my front shock shafts went they both snapped right where the thread starts meaning that bit of the shaft was stuck in the shock ballends with no way of removing it.

Hence might be worth getting some (unless both mine were coincidences). Part number: AS1777.

I've done a front arm so yes that is a good idea. I chewed up a spur as well so might be worth carrying one around just in case that happens to you. I got an RW Racing one as advised on here and it seems a lot better too :)
