mad monkey bodyshell
 

Planning to buy the mad monkey kit but wish paint my own bodyshell. Cant seem to find one from ansmann only the prepainted shell.


Has anyone tried any other shell that might fit or is there a clear shell from ansmann?

I tried a friends X6sq'd shell and it wont fit as the MM is too wide at the front!

I too would like to know if any other shells fit the MM

did concept racing not make one? im sure i read it in a thread that he was trying to?

Eric would make one if someone send him a shell that wasnt already cut out which I think all the pre-painted ones already come cut out!
I know he's done one for the X2C but with that having a narrower chassis is wont fit the MM :(

The only thing is you seem to have a fixed price for shipping so unless your buying a lot of items the cost is expensive!

If you want to order an extra one, I can get a mould made, more than happy to pay for it, it just might help with the postage cost, mind you, got stung on my last order from them, not their fault, just the way it happened.
At least if I had a mould, we can have a bodyshell ready to go on the shelf for any one that wants one, let me know what you think.

Are these ones made from lexan/polycarb, or that horrible brittle stuff?

I think the only brittle stuff was on a small batch of Mad rats.(rear wings)
The new (printed) Madmonkey shells/wings are good...more flex

The wing in my MM is the same size as the middle sized wing from the wing kit Ansmann do (if that made sense lol) ;)

rule is clear we offer fat service so post fee is higher.
