B4 gear ratios
 

I'm running a 12 t brushed motor on a b4 can some one tell me what the best gear ratio to ru. At the moment I'm running a 78 spur on a 22 pinon but it seems to run hot, I'm looking for good acceleration please ?

I used to run an 81t spur on my B4 with a 22t or 23t pinion depending on the track conditions

If it's getting hot and you need more acceleration I would say come down a couple of teeth on the pinion to maybe a 19 or 20.

Also, how hot is it getting exactly? I've got a temperature reading doodah, come over and we'll measure it. Anything below 100'C is okay!
