Losi 22 shock O rings

The stock O rings seems to create a bit of stiction on the shock shafts, can anyone recommend me good O rings for the Losi 22 shocks?

I have ordered some whities without checking if they fit those shocks but they are out of stock anyway so anything I should be using in the meantime?

I don't know about in the meantime, but TLR is releasing low friction o-rings. They will be much smoothter, but will require rebuilds more often as they may seep some oil.

Also, not sure if i read it on here or RCTech (probably there to be honest), but it has been said that you can Unscrew the cartridge where the O-Rings are upto Half a Turn to dial the amount of stiction from the o-rings...

Thanks guys. Like the cap unscrew method, will give it a try tonight.

BTW - anyone tried whities in the 22 shocks?

Just realised my info is slightly wrong...

It's upto a Turn & Half.

1.5 turns if thats better understood.

Hi all, something to help you decide on your o-ring preload settings.

The lower the viscosity oil in the shock, the easier it will leak past the seal. So, if you running 20 or 25wt oil, your going to have to use more preload on the o-rings. If you are running 40 or 45 wt oil, you can use less.

As far as I am aware whites are designed for a shock shaft diameter of 2.8mm - 3mm. The tlr shaft is 3.5mm. So I think they will be unsuitable!! I think u would be better looking at 8th shock seals but am not sure. U need a seal designed for 3.5mm shocks!
