jampat ... which shocks do you have on the car? I am happy to give you my starting setups for any surface.

Try this:

Astro setup...

Normal shocks
Front
2c pistons, 32.5 wt, silver spring
Outer hole on wishbone, 2nd hole in on new shock tower.
10 deg hubs
Vega steering link
Top turnbuckle inner hole inboard, middle hole on hub.

Rear:
2b pistons 27.5wt, cobalt blue spring. Middle hole on tower, inner hole on wishbone.
0 deg alloy hubs.
Turnbuckle inner middle hole, outer 2nd hole in.
2 deg camber
30g rudebits weight in centre spline.

Other
Shu yellow spikes inner and outer 2 rows removed on front.
Orca 5.5, 5200mah 50c speedo settings can be given to anyone who needs them.
Vega rear wing

I am still working on this setup but only minor touches needed. This will get you going and I am sure you will like it on high grip astro.

John, is this Losi oil? And are you running anti-roll bars? thanks!

spenner 05-04-2011 08:58 PM

Hi Toby,

Yes it is losi oil, nope don't run roll bars. I am going to try a rear one though. Not for roll purposes though, want to see what it adds to the steering of the car.
