XBOX 360 HELP
 

Not sure if anyone can help me but im having problems with my 360
Especially when trying to load a game..
When I put the disk in it start to spin up and then I get a white screen with the words” you need to insert disk into Xbox” (I think) and several other languages below it.
When I go into the dashboard screen it seems to think the game is a DVD.

After several attempts at starting it will work eventually but im getting tired of having to do it a bout 10 times before the game loads up.

sounds like the lens is on its way out. tried a lens cleaner?

Wraggy, sounds exectly like what happened to mine ...... although as it's mod'd it still plays the back-ups (I wanted the mod so that I didn't get anymore discs damaged by the machine after loosing my second game disc!!!).

Been told it is the drive controller somehow not getting the special code to say it's a genuine title ..... I'm not 100% sure it's something that can be fixed but I did look at a new drive but that was going to cost about £80.

Ive had this problem with my 360 aswell. What i did is bought a disk cleaning kit from pound land amazingly it was a pound. And it seems to work a treat. Hope this helps:D:)

Let me know what brand cleaning disc (I assume lens cleaning) you used as well if i works please!!

just ran the disc cleaner on xbox and gamelicked up 1st time :D.

LOL @ Tel ...... I think the nearest pound land is in Bristol (about 35 miles away) and PC World is about a 15 minute walk away ..... not looking like such good value now
