Problem peeling last lot of liquid mask off

As the title, I've just finished my first proper paint job. It went surprisingly smoothly until I took the last lot of mask off (using bob dively liquid mask). Instead of it peeling of nicely and cleanly I ended up picking bits of paint off where it hadn't peeled along the score I made with my knife.

Did I do something wrong or is the last lot always tricky due to the amount of paint over the score?

probably down to it being to this in that area, u can warm it up (radiator or hair dryer)and that softens it up,or the paint was to thick and still soft

I've suffered this issue myself once or twice. I think it's thickness of paint which causes me the most grief. Especially if I've been a bit mean with the masking fluid. At least three good coats for me!

What i've found causes this is (as mentioned) the thickness of paint. but it also doesn't help if it is still soft or warm.

I found that if you either let it dry over night so that it isn't soft, or if its warm from being dried under heat, then blow some cool air onto it.

Other than that, just re-cut the line with the knife before unmasking.

If the paint is soft or warm, it will want to stretch the paint rather than it 'breaking' with the seam on the mask.
