Id send my stuff to Ray A in the US. Postage is not expensive and apparently hes the best. The pinch can be as tight as a new engine if you like so you need to run it in again.

repinch

+1 for Tim Ramsden.

He pinched an os tuned speed for me last year and it runs faultlessly.
I will always use Tim in the future.
He will check everything out and tell you what he thinks needs doing.
Great bloke and super friendly.

My opinion only.

What is the point in sending an engine overseas?? when either Dave or Tim can do the same job for no doubt alot less money...no brainer really.

Well first you send the piston liner not the engine. Second the guy is good and that's from my experience. Third the guy asked for opinions fourth two week turn round for top service. Fith no much more than you quoted. Sixth he can do any size engine can your recommendations?
Unless of course no one can have an opinion different to yours.

'Well firstly' Im guessing Grovehead is a newbie who more than likely doesnt have the knowledge to remove his piston/liner from the engine casing. 'second' Dave & Tim are both very very highly respected engine gurus. 'third' When i have had work done in the past by Dave, the item/items are returned to me within 4 days. 'fifth' I doubt it very much postage, labour would come anywhere near £12.
Why would he want the fuss of sending an engine or piston/liner to the USA when one of the above mentioned can do exactly the same job,he's not asking for advanced engine tuning here, just an engine sleeve resize
Oh and both Tim & Dave are very helpful trackside,so personally i would rather recommend people i know of & are from the UK than someone thousands of miles away.
...As i said absolute no brainer
