how many battery packs for a typical nights racing?
 

as title. how many battery packs do most people use and what capacity? i'll being using nimh stick packs

nimh - 1 for practice, 1 for each round and the practice pack for the final. IMO 3700 capacity min.

lipo - 1 for everything. Never used more than 1400mah per round, top up between rounds.

Depends where you race, I suppose.
At York we try to run 4 rounds and 1 final in an evening. I haven't heard of anywhere running more than that.

TBH even if the nimh are stupid cheap, the equaliser is also stupid cheap and the charger is also stupid cheap I'd still go lipo.
