blue mini pins
 

hi guys ive been doing a bit off research on line as been looking for a longer lasting tyre for my b4 currently racing on carpet using yellowsany ideas if blue will work or not i believe sligtly harder:thumbsup: thanks guys

If you would prefer a more durable tyre indoor then yellow minispikes might be a better alternative to blue minipins (thats if they even make blue minipins).

Best combination wear and grip is (like Wayne said) yellow spikes. Full spikes are not too far behind, but hard to find.

P.S. Just got round to translating you chinese...

They do do blue mini-pins. I had some on order, but cancelled them last week as they'd been on back-order so long I'd actually forgot I'd ordered them.

If the track is only carpet, Blue Minipins would work. But if there is any slippy sporthall floor then only really Yellow compound works.

Run Minispikes with a soft insert, and they'll grip adequately* even when worn.

*I mean not as good as fresh tyres, but better than a completely worn Minipin. They still won't grip forever.

Craig (WTW) they do still do the Blue Mini Pins (parts number U6601. 6602 and 6603) and we do have some in stock too if you wnat to try them at the club, BUT they are nowehere near as good as the yellows, especially when the slippery floor sections start to be used in the summer series tracks etc for buggies. I think to be fair, "most" of your tyre wear will have come form the weeks of riunning where ethe car was not so good as you have it set up now, plus the run at Moto Arena the other staurday would have dome your minipins no good at all.

As a question, how old are your minipins now? They dont last forever mate.... you would look to run a new set every 4 weeks or so on our track at club racing ;)

We have designed a new White compound in our Mini-pin tyre as an option for longer lasting as well as grip. I understand that the Blue will work on carpet but any slippery floor areas become very difficult.

Our White may be a good alternative to the Yellow and we are getting some promising reports back from those that have used them.

Hopefully we should be getting more and more feedback as the tyres are more widely used. If anyone has used them, it would be good to get your thoughts!
