Should be no problem to you :)
I'm tempted to risk a good start to the championship and run the "22".... All the essential mods arrived yesterday - just need to get motivated and fit them

Round 1 of the DMCC Outdoor Championship is this sunday 17/4

I recommend that everyone try and attend so that you can drop rounds further on and are not chasing the points all year.

I haven't paid membership but is it ok to race a round?

Yes it is, I think there's an additional non members fee to cover insurance. €5 i think.

Yes it's €5 for one day insurance and €5 race fee per class. Should be a good day!!

What a great first championship round!! Racing was tight all day in all classes. I'll have all results up on the website later in the week. Some photos of the podium positions are up on the club website.

Oh, for the green, green grass of Lucan (instead of the dust and noise of Aghalee...)

Will, have you been practising that pose in the mirror? Hollywood will come calling for that windswept look! Mick looks a tad happier than Derek...

I think derek's annoyed in that photo as he's suddenly found himself 3ft tall!

Round 2 of the DMCC Outdoor Championship is this Sunday May 8th. Starting at 10.30am

I'll be running my TLR 22 for the first time.... :bored:
Hoping the whole day isn't a stuggle :)

ian h 08-05-2011 07:38 PM

Great days racing today, really enjoyed it.

mixer 08-05-2011 08:13 PM

Second that, thou a bit hairy at times.

Legacy555 09-05-2011 08:49 AM

Fantastic racing between Ivan and Ian - great to see the Clubman class doing its job. Close racing like that will only make you faster!!! Brian MacManus also showed a big improvement in pace over the day.

After I did two rounds of qualifying with the CR2 to work out the pace on the new track, doing a spares run home whilst round 3 was on and then having some radio problems with the "22" on its first run in round 4 - it left me with a dilemma..... run the CR2 in the final to play it safe with a competitive car or run the unproven "22" and risk a low championship points score if the radio issues remained unsolved... Gamble paid off - the "22" was awesome - really feel like I have an unfair advantage... :eh?::thumbsup:

Setup is here - https://picasaweb.google.com/irishwi...32030690421666

I'll have results up later in the week.

Legacy555 16-05-2011 01:00 PM

Sorry all, I've been flat _______ out for the last few weeks with a major staff shortage in work (50% of employees are on sick leave!! ) - so the championship results have not been updated....

I will endeavour to get them done this week as hopefully I will have some free time..... can't remember what that feels like...

The important thing is that....
ROUND 3 of the DMCC Outdoor Championship is this Sunday - May 22nd @ 10.30am
Please arrive on time (10.30am) and pitch-in with the setup - so that we are not there too late in the evening.

See you all there :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Legacy555 23-05-2011 08:40 AM

 Great days racing again yesterday. I'll definitely have results up this week - work should be calming down from tomorrow.
