Help Needed Re ESC / Servo problem

Just bought a speed passion GT2.0, setup neutral, full throttle and break. Plugged the wires into the receiver KR302f and throttle is ok using a X12 Quad motor. Full throttle gives green light, neutral no lights etc

When I connect the servo (savox 1258TG) to the receiver a red light appears on the speedo and when I push the throttle the motor then does not work with no responce from servo on the stearing channel either.

Throttle chan 2, Steering chan 1 - Orange colour cable inline with the white of the speedo, red inline and black with brown which I understand is correct.

If I then disconnect the servo wire the speedo goes back to normal - all working ok with the motor when I use the throttle.

Tranny is the ko esprit 3 40mhz - Car Durango dex410

Has anyone any thoughts - has servo gone just dont know?

servo/esc problems

Hi
you will have to eliminate compnents one by one

can you you try another servo into the existing set up any cheapy servo will do ,If fault dissapears then servo is at fault . if you still have issue then try another receiver if fault disappears then receiver is faulty Lastly try another speedo is poss

i have heard of savox servos requiring a voltage booster /capacitor plugging into a reciver spare channel, as they appear to be a bit more thirsty than others and causing strange behaviour

dont know if this is your problem though hope this helps

feel free to pm me if i can help more

Have you tried plugging the servo in the other way round. White and black should be - and orange/brown signal.

I took your advice, tried a new servo and it works.
The servo has gone, strange as it is brand new!
Thanks again for replying so quickly
