Which Vega? RB5/201/b4

Are there any particular differences between the 201 or RB5?

Got a 201 sat doing nothing, but spares are a pain compared with the RB5 etc.

Does the RB5 have to be SP2?

All you need from the SP2 is the longer alloy mainshaft that the spur sits on.

Being a Kyosho driver I would tell you a RB5 Vega mate BUT they are all good as Alec will post here soon no doubt.

You'll need UM508B to.. this has the wider hinge pin pivots on it RF2 etc..

Or you can just buy the ally ones instead which i believe most use..

The only bit you need from the SP2 is UM524 which is the longer main gear shaft.

Vega b4.1 will be good and it will be at silverstone this weekend

Really struggling with this question myself.

Did a round and the final with Matt Owen's car last night at Moto Arena, all I can say is superb. So easy to drive and really forgiving.. (Improving my heats by nearly two laps) I would happily buy one tomorrow...

BUT

I run a B44 as well and previously had a B4 so have all the tools and spares etc, I have loads of wheels/tyres to suit and know loads of people that run B4's so getting spares trackside will be really easy. (and B4 bits are really cheap and easy to get hold of)

I am seriously considering buying a Vega, but just not sure about the Kyosho bit having never had one before... Has anyone tried both that could comment? The B4.1 kit would be a much easier swap but if its not as good as the Kyosho I will have to bite the bullet...

Cheers

Andy,

Firstly, the B4.1 version doesn't look too bad. Scott Faulkner has gone really well since he has been running his.

The main part as i am sure Matt said is backup, Kyosho parts can be purchased in most shops. If you call MK he can get them, or Moto Arena has stock. TBH it doesn't break!!!!

Wheels and tyres, you can buy the pro line axles to fit on the Kyosho so you can use all your b4 wheels.

Whatever choice you make it will be a good one... The B4.1 version looks good, but my choice will always be red.
