Racing - Sunday 20th March 2011

Hopefully a nice drier track this weekend. I'm planning on being back this week.

Got some things to test etc this week. So if I'm bottom of the results it's because I'm testing (well that's my excuse ;) )

Planning on dusting the 2WD off for some outside action. First time with the 2WD since last September (but I am liking the Durango, even if it is a brut)

Hi,

Have you got further details please:
What sort of budget and what brushless motor do you have?
What transmitter / reciever are you using?
What LIPOs are you running re batteries etc. If you're racing my advice is to move away from the Tamiya connectors as they can't take the heat (depending what you are running)?
What class is this kit for, 2WD or 4WD?

Weather is looking good this weekend

Cheers,

Mike

To add Mike, we get 4 - 5 qualifiers in and 1 final mostly 7 minute finals if all request.

I'll be down, concentrating on 4wd leading up to the first regional.

Though, I must fix my broken cougars...

Also, we'll have the Losi 22 new kits available trackside. £194.95, thrust cash into our hands for them please!

the weather looks to be taking a turn for the worst  but still predicted to be dry come Sunday.

looking forward to racing on the new and improved track plus the feedback from the drivers who haven't experienced the new table top and the kicker thats being just used as a hump for the moment.

mikeyscott 18-03-2011 11:05 AM

Should be fine and I expect the grip to be good on Sunday.

I won't be "racing" Sunday as I'm going to be testing to determine which car I'm bored of now.

Sunday will be a test session

the kicker more of a speed ramp cant see how else you can go over it with out ending up on the wrong side of the track or your roof lol

Prob abadoning planned testing and just doing test runs on the Durango for stotfold. Dunno yet, haven't decide yet. Got a few things to sort on test car, but can't be arsed. Been a crap week at work

I don't own a 511 either.

simoncrabb 19-03-2011 06:41 PM

I'll be running my Durango.

New ORCA Vritra speedo to test, and get a decent outdoor setup sorted.

But mainly, I'll be just practicing using my thumbs. That's the most important thing!

Full shop will be with us tomorrow.

mikeyscott 20-03-2011 05:52 PM

Results are now online

http://www.torchracing.org.uk/result...tg62/index.htm

Good turnout considering Clanfield boys running.

Well looking at the results my day was totally crap.

Look forward to next weekend for some further 4WD before Stotfold, if it's crap again Durango bonfire!
