SCinvernational

Just guaging the interest if we had an oOple Short Course one day event at a dirt track in the UK. It'd be probably just 2WD and 4WD classes, no motor rules, SC wheels and tyres (no 8th bolt-ons). Maybe an 8th buggy electric support class too.

Let me know your thoughts - not sure if there's enough interest in the SC class yet. Meeting would be about FUN

Time permitting, I'm in. 2 and 4wd. Liking this idea.

I'd be able to supply 8 guaranteed drivers minimum, must be 30 SCT's on our membership books atm!

You will have enough to run a meeting buddy, there are loads of trucks out there needing racing get it organised!

If its an Invernational then it would be interesting to see how many international drivers would be keen.

A1 Racing Club are running Short Course Carnage 2011 but we have not set a date so we'll have to avoid any clashes.

Several clubs (Coventry, Adur and A1) held such events last year with some success, with the backing of Oople there is no doubt it would work!!

The more racing the better :)

Depending on location I'd buy one for a day out! Been quite tempted to buy already

simoncrabb 13-03-2011 10:05 PM

Good call Jimny, I'd buy one just for this.

Would happily do 8th electric too.

This is a long shot...

convince John from Ardent to get the unit next door sorted and filled with clay and then the Oople SCinvernational could be the opening attraction!

Shortcourse racing... on dirt... indoors... with the Oople crowd... 6 miles from home... If Carslberg did race meetings!

blitzboy 13-03-2011 10:43 PM

cracking idea for an opening event! can probably grab 4 maybe 5 2wd drivers at short notice and maybe my 4wd Durango eater might be finished!!

taz5311 14-03-2011 12:05 PM

Would definately attend, with my 2wd.
Think this would be a really good event, and a bonus for the national series.
