Hello all Id thought id share a funny incident from todays racing with you. I have just got my new ZX5 together and thought id try her out down at our local track (all nitro) I sloted in nicley with the 1/8th buggys and settled into some very nice laps heat after heat went by and i managed to get to the final. I was P2 on the grid and had 5 nitro buggys behind me I knew they would catch me at the end of the first straight so i expected to get shunted and i did. The marshall at the corner rushed to my upturned car and picked it up he turned to rostrum and signalled the cut throat sign to me to say my engine had cut... Lol i nearly cried he even started running back with it to the pit area anyway I lost about 30 seconds but it was so funny i couldent help but laugh about it:D

nearly did a similar thing to Paul Robinson at Southport on sunday. he only snapped his wing off the X10, but i thought it was terminal. by mistake i went to turn it off but he wanted to carry on.

moral is put the car down regardless, only if it doesn't move its dead!

Oh yeah, I heard him whinging about that!

I'm just a crap marshal... NEVER drive to me if you're broken unless you want switching off!

No no, I wasn't even marshalling then! I was just wandering across the track at the time... trying to sort 'the father' out. And you got under my foot. Heh.

Em's golden rule - if the car can still move, DON'T pick it up until its ramming itself into your foot with driver screaming. :)

arent nitro boys idiots i had the same thing happen to me at a bcl meeting winning the a and some nob said my engine was dead wot a prick of cause i shouted some kind words at him questioning is parenthood and so on but he could understand as he had been sniffing glow fuel:D

it makes a change you marshalling my heat em, your normally standing next to me making me crash;) :D

Oh but that was just skilled and you know it.

ive raced at a nitro meeting at weston park. i marshalled one of the lower finals for rallycross, and oh my god are they mad!!!! almost got hit quite a few times, talk about marshall from hell, that was marshalling from hell!!!!!!!
