Caldicot 9th Dec Open Meeting RESULTS ADDED

UPDATE: After some discussion we are going to make this meeting our Christmas bash, so bring your festive cheer. We will have mince pies and biscuits free when you buy tea or coffee and there will be prize giving after the meeting where EVERYONE racing will get a prize (mostly stuff you can eat, not some crappy piece of plastic http://www.uk-microrc.co.uk/forum/st...fault/wink.gif ) There will be an added twist though, you will pick a name at random at the start of the day and he is your driver for the day, whatever position he comes you win that prize http://www.uk-microrc.co.uk/forum/st...lt/biggrin.gif Meeting will be 3 Qualifiers (FTD) and 2 finals final scores added together to decide positions.

Caldicot RC Racers are having an open meeting on Sunday DECEMBER 9th

It will be at our usual venue, Caerwent Community Hall (see "Club Info")

See link below for club info, map, and pics of our hall.

Doors open at 11am and we'll go on till about 4pm, we can carry on a bit longer if we get a good turn out.

Cost will be £5 for one class, £7 for two classes.
Juniors race for £3 for one class, £5 for two classes.

We will run classes for 10th off road and 1/18th off road.

If you want to come please pop your name down below and I will update the list below daily. You don't have to pre-book, just turn up and race.

We will have pop, crisps and choccy for sale, but if you want anything more substantial you need to bring it yourself.

Many thanks from the team at Caldicot to all who made the trip. Sorry we ran so late but we didn't expect so many entries. Hope you all enjoyed yourselves and we hope to see you at our Easter Egg Race in March.

We can make a table top out of the boxs then ;)

Welshy40 01-12-2007 11:48 PM

Pity I cant make it, I am having a big session at Ascot. Gutted.

I wanted to see if I could still make the top three, well mainly due to never finishing any lower than that at this track since I can remember so would be quite amusing to see if it was possible again.

Any ideas if Dave or Peter's going?

RogerM 02-12-2007 01:05 AM

Craig, how big is the track going to be? Trying to make my mind up on micro or 1/10th.

Body Paint 02-12-2007 06:29 PM

ALL: I have just updated the first post with some extra details.

JAMES: Not heard from Dave or Pete, might drop them a PM.

Roger: Here's a pic of the hall, track will have a bit more carpet and be a bit more technical for Sunday.

sounds fun!!, did you get my message about simon??

Body Paint 02-12-2007 07:22 PM

Didn't you say he was a possible? or did I get that wrong?

c0sie 02-12-2007 09:33 PM

CANT WAIT!

See..I even typed in capitals to emphasise the point!

Harris..your ass is grass young man lol!

Welshy40 02-12-2007 10:37 PM

All I can say to the guys that havent been there before, its a tght small track but its one of the best carpet tracks to race on. Years back we had a few of the RRC top twenty turn up for a welsh event and what an event that was. competition is always close and fast. Also if Craigs doing the track its going to be a good design, as always.

Craig - I told Dave and maybe he will do it. I hope so.
