I'm on 24*76 with a 8.5 but with some extra timing so you're not a world away

The gear ratio on the X6 is identical to the B4 (the extra idler gear in the X6 3 gear drive train is the same size so the ratio is unaffected by the extra gear) so if you have any B4's at your local club running similair equipment feel free to try the same. As Dan says, you dont seem a million miles away though at present to be honest....

I run a 27 pinion on an SP 7.5 with the same spur so you are far away :p

You can go as high as a 28 as well if it still lacks a little top speed but heat may be an issue then if it is a warm day.

FYI, even if it was 14631 teeth gear or 16813 gears extra it wouldn't affect. :-)

If the X6 used two "differnet size idlers" (differnet to each other) then the ratio would be different to the B4

Want a bet? ;)
They don't because they are in line and don't drive another gear that's on the same axle (cfr. spur and little gear in that same axle)
