Hi matey, get their latest Tateego bodyshell for the 501x, it looks really good. A couple of my mates are using it.You can order directly from Team Azarashi, their shipping prices are good and the service is really good too. I've ordered bodyshells from them before and have been very satisfied, very good quality products. Drop them an email...Here's the link

I received my Tateego body in less than 7 days after I ordered it (Japan to Central USA via EMS). Body is now at a painter getting some love. I am hoping there is a little more room when mounted to the car vs. the Tamiya body.

Team Azarashi = :)

Whats wrong with the stock body for the 501x.
Mine still is holding up, the wing has been through some hard crashes but still
holds up fine.

Id rather not buy from a japan website though...my local hobby shop will have
to special order me one of these team driver bodies...looks very awesome!

Is there more room around the motor? The stock body conforms so tightly around that area.

Colinevan 21-04-2008 08:02 PM

With the newer worlds 501x, the shell has been re designed to accomodate bigger scoops for both the speedo and motor. My gtb with fan on top is now at least 4 mm less than the underside of the shell.
The motor area also has a bulge to accomodate the motor and wiring better.

I'll try and get a piccie to help.

I have the Tateego bodyshell and it looks HOT! I got the undertray, pair of wings, decals and a set of their heavy duty dust rings for ball cups plus EMS shipping to Australia for about $70 aud. Pretty damn good really considering the cost of EMS. Still yet to rebuild my 501 with the big pulley conversion set, full set of premium ceramic bearings and diff balls. Then I'll give the body some paint. Im looking forward to running the car again .

I want one. Here's some updated pics of my 501x.
I did get that front one-way to fit correctly at it does work because I
move the rear tire with my hand and both front tires move also.
I also copied someones setup having just a bit of front toe-in.
Now my wheels are not sharpied, I hand painted them with testors model paint.
Northy asked for these.
Enjoy!
