8mm bulk head?

Hi,does anyone know if there will be a new bulk head to fit into the front of the shell?

bigred5765 26-02-2011 09:13 PM

nnnnnnnnnoooooooooooo:(..................£50 instead of £7:cry:........unless its a new design all together, and it looks wicked:thumbsup:

What is the problem?
Mine body and undertray fits the new 8mm longer chassis.
A little bit of modification and it fits good.

think maybe its more than just new shells coming out!

After fitting my chassis today I hope there's a new shell on the way as I don't want to have to do that again. Must admit I was surprised at how much material had to be removed!!

When are we talking as I was going to get a new shell painted soon, but will hold if there is a new shell coming out.

I'm in no rush at the mo anyway as a) I haven't raced the SV since Petit and b) I'm on the standard chassis still

bigred5765 28-02-2011 11:57 AM

im in the process of making plugs for the new shells now, just need someone with vacform access,;)

Just a quickie,

Why is everyone trimming the bulkhead and moving the shell backwards?

By just adding to the spacers on the rear body mount the shell can sit in its original position with the 8mm gap at the rear, which looks less noticable than the gap at the front imho...

There is not much form in the rear sides of the shell, so it still fits pretty well..

jeffrey 28-02-2011 07:10 PM

isn't your spurgear comming to the body ??

Adam F 28-02-2011 07:35 PM

Nope, 2mm clearance to an 83t spur..

I had trimmed the very rearmost part which covered the side of the spur as it was irritating trying to get the shell off..

i didnt do it as it leaves all the rear open to all the crap that will get thrown up

The gap isn't too bad as the majority of the gearbox is enclosed in that area and runs horizontally underneath the body so it doesn't leave much uncovered.
