Hello im thinking of getting this truggy

and wondered is it a good car for abit of offroading.onroad and bashing? also would it be able to handle brushless power, something like a ezrun 15t

Thanks

It comes with a 15t brushed motor, so if you replace it with a 15t brushless motor it'll be fine as you'll be putting in a slower motor.

HPI

YOU NEED A 7.5 OR MAYBE 8.5 TURN BRUSHLESS IN IT.

Look at the step up stinger
Comes brushless with 2.4g and is well hard I mean mega tough
Hardened geArs to they are ace and cheap

I dont see how replacing it with the same turn brushless can make it slower?

a 13.5 turn brushless is considered equivalent to a 27 turn stock motor, although it is alightly faster. at 15 turn you would be looking at roughly 30 odd turn motor. the ready to run motor you will have will also probably be close in power to a 27 turn stock motor. for a truck something around 10.5 might be better. i use the ezrun speed controls and motors, the speed controls are really good, in a truck you will probably need to look at using the 60 amp rated one. the motors are also good, the blue finned motors (9t, 10t, 12t etc) are finned 400 size motors and from experience with a buggy, will lack the torque you need so you would need to get a lower wind motor and gear it softer, the ezrun motors with such as 5.5 and 8.5 are 540 size so go for one of those or a secondhand motor of another make if you can.

Ok thanks so i should be looking at a 60amp 10.5t?
I run a xerun in my bsd with 2x2s lipos but the reverse is a bit temrimental!
I heard about the finned ones
