Schumacher Cat XLS spur question

I have fixed the cat for my daughter to run since i didnt had an pinion for it ( stock spur ) i called an friend of mine whos also was going to the same track to bring an pinion for it I thought it was 32pitch. He searched and searched and found an pinion that was almost certain it was going to fit but did it no it did NOT and the sound was awful.

It was not the right pitch so what the heck is the pitch on old schumacher xls spurs got to get 1 pinion fast since she wants to run it on sunday.

The way i se it

1. get the right pinion for the spur.
2. get an special xls 48 pitch spur since i have alot of those pinions.
3. get an bosscat slipper for it and use standard schuie spurs

Bit late but I think at the time either Kyosho or Tamiya used metric pitches so your mate may have found an old 0.6 or 0.8 module pitch pinion. The black standard Cat XLS 'integrator' spur was deffo 32dp. Those of us who went to 64dp found that they would strip more easily after a hard landing or if dirt got in.

For me the best solution is the Bosscat slipper with 48dp RW Racing Supalite spurs...

Yeah i run the rw spurs on my lazer and they bare super .

Anyway found an pinion and i have run the cat and it was tail happy, some tire treatment fixed that and rest was fine.

Luke whats the partnumber for the bosscat slipper layshaft ???

Shall post some pics on the cat later looks race ready :D

Looks nice in white, complete with pink rubber bands!

Page 4 of the Bosscat manual says the slipper shaft is part no T1214 but I don't know what the kit part no is.

Got the layshaft found 2 actually so i will take em both.

I think when you build it its T number but when you buy its an U same number funny ....
also found some works arms and some work hubs shall put them on also.
