Craig Collinson signs with HPI for Flux Pro Electronics

Rising star off-road racer, Craig Collinson, has been on a charge recently and has signed to race the HPI 'FLUX PRO' electronics.

Craig Collinson is a very well known name in the UK racing scene being a BRCA Regional Champion and National A finalist. Known for his very helpful and approachable personality HPI could not think of a better ambassador for the new range of Flux Pro products.

Craig first tested the New Flux Pro motors at Broxtowe in his 4wd car making a switch from his current 5.5T to the HPI Flux Pro 6.5T motor. He instantly had more punch and linear throttle feel whilst at the same time having more top speed and improving the lap times by 0.4 on the fastest lap! Craig was so impressed he committed there and then to HPI. He took the TQ and win in convincing fashion.

Craig went on to test the HPI Flux Pro 6.5T in his 2wd at Chadderton Winter Series and again reported an incredibly smooth and powerful throttle response with crazy top speed! Another TQ and win on the second running with the motor.

Craig’s first running of the new Flux Pro ESC (the same unit that Andy Moore won the BRCA Touring Car Winter Nationals with last month) was done at Worksop where most of the UK’s top drivers were present. Coupled with the HPI Flux Pro 5.5T motor Craig took his 4wd to an impressive 5th place on the grid and an awesome 2nd place in the main final! Craig reported impressive characteristics from the ESC and the easy program box interface allowed him to fine tune the ESC setup to get a great feeling and a very smooth transition was had at switching from his old ESC, a very important feature for drivers when using new equipment.

Cool a new sensored top-range speedo :) Is it proprietary, or based on HW's design?

this explains why hpi asked castle to brand electronics for them as hpi rather than hpi..

You can already do this on most speedo's ;) I've been testing it on SP's recently.

As Tom says, this is quite common these days. It's something that's been used in On Road for a couple of years now.

Tom, you'll be able to help them out with software settings then ;)
