B3 viable option?
 

Is it worth getting a B3 as a cheap off roader. Are any parts from a B4 compatable with a B3, can parts for a B3 still be sourced anywhere?

A used B4 would probably be a better bet...

All the parts are still available as Thunder Tiger still make it as the Phoenix.
Virtually nothing but shocks are interchangeable with the B4.

As used B4s are available from £50 to £100 a B3 would have to be very cheap.

I currently own both and have raced both. No comparison for me - the B4 is better.
With B4's being so cheap secondhand the b3 would have to be free :thumbsup:

I never liked my b3....only had it a few meetings then changed to a b4 straight away, b4 was soooo much better.

In my opinion the B2 / B3 is a better buggy than the B4. Its easier to set up and you can drive harder into corners unlike the B4. The only thing that fits from a B4 is the layshaft and slipper assembly. Ive just fitted one as the B2 / B3 clutch isnt up to handling the power from brushless motors. I will be doing a test in two weeks time to see if the mod was worth while.

im certainly no racer but rather an enthusiastic basher! my brushless / lipo set up is based on a b3 team roller and i like it. parts are cheap too from liquid rc in the us but you have to wait about 10 days to get them.

im currently on my second diff but fear the problem could be my re-building skills coupled with the need to drive my car in circles on wet grass!

guess it really depends on your application ultimately
