Boomerang or Hot Shot?

Hi,

In turms of track performance, what car is the more advanced, Boomerang or Hot Shot?

I know there both out of date, but.....

Thanks.

(struggles with the use of advanced in the same sentence as Hotshot & Boomerang)!

There is virtually no difference between them in terms of suspension and transmission.
The Boomerang gives you two shocks on the rear to the Hotshot's one, so it's marginally better in the handling stakes.

If you prefer the looks of the hotshot, I suspect you can fit the boomerang rear shock tower and shocks to the hotshot with a little persuasion.

Surely the Boomerang wins in terms of performance if we are talking about stock. BUT if you add the HP. Suspension Set for the Hot Shot it will be converted to a 4 damper car which is exactly the same suspension as the Super Shot had and this will perform way better than the Boomerang.
I recommend to get yourself a Rere Shotshot and a HP Suspension Set and convert the HS to SS

Yeah, at least totally forget about running the HS with the std. mono dampers! Looks very cool but works very poorly!

Here's my Hotshot Evo II:

Boomerang every time.

You can fit 4 shocks on either one, but one big Boomerang advantage is the much better steering setup, the Hotshot has much more bump steer made even worse by differing bump steer either side. The Boomerangs open top chassis means you actually have access to the radio gear unlike the sealed Hotshot chassis. The Boomerang is also quite a bit lighter.

This is an easy one :)

The Boomerang is for one is much better value for money, it is easier to work on as the electrics are not in the awful radio box section.

The by far best selling point over the Hotshot is the steering.
The Hotshot suffers awful bump steer.........the Boomerang gets rid of most (not all) of the bump steer with the steering slider assembly.

The Boomerang is easly the best choice

I loved my old boomerang, I won the junior championship with mine against kids with PB mustangs and cats. Mine was STD, just ballraced even with a msc.

Probably one of the reasons I have become a bit of a Tamiya fan boy.
