Futaba 3vcs Transmitter Skin
Well, it took a long time to get the template right but here it is the Skin for the Futaba 3VCS radio. A big thank you to Graham from Custom Blitz for the loan of his transmitter to get the fitting right, this skin belongs to Graham.
A big sorry to everyone that had delays or no response last year to emails as this was a rough year for me with ill health and extremely busy taking over the running of a model shop down here in the Souhwest. 2011 is a new year and more time is being devoted to Decal Designs and we plan lots of new products with the help of DMS, our UK Distributor. |
Is it possible to make one for the Spektrum DX3S?
Think I mite invest in one of these too!
Are there going to be different designs? |
How do we order our designs?
nice1 kev, does look like a good finish. glad to see you up n runnin again mate.
You can order one by sending me a email, more details on the Decal Designs website http://www.decaldesigns.co.uk/customworks.php or order through Darren at DMS Racing. Design wise, normally send me a photo of your car shell and I will try if possible to match the design and colours. Pre made designs will be coming a bit later.

Could you do a custom one for the code radio, core rc? Lol
I am looking at the Core / etronix radio to make a skin for that, not sure about the demand or maybe just do off the shelf designs for that one. Spektrum DX3s again maybe a little later.
Email replied DCM. Kev |
oOooooooooooooooooh, I like that! When I decide on my car colour for good I'll order one
Looking awesome there key can't wait to get it back must say the design colours are perfect too buddy cheers g
That's looks awesome, but I bet it's going to be a bitch to fit!
Thanks Graham, It was a nightmare making the template, but I think it was worth it in the end.

The most difficult sections to fit were the 2 side grip sections as it is a compound curve, but a bit of gentle heat from a hairdryer and very slowly smoothing down and they went on without any creases. For the rear you need to remove the carry handle, but that's only 2 nuts and easy to get to.
In all it took about an hour to fit all the bits as there is a lot of bits. Kev |
Looks brilliant mate! It would be nice if you could make one for the Core Rc Code as well, i'm sure there are quite a number of guys using it.
Will this fit the cheepo 3gr version aswell?
