HPI Pro 3 Help needed
 

Hi Guys,

I am a buggy man in the process of buying this car and wondered what size shell to use and what mods are best. I am on a budget and really getting a tc so Ican go to my local club.

Any other info gratefully received:thumbsup:

Ok, well u need a 190mm shell go dodge stratus works well with that car the u need carbon top deck and orange springs frond yellow rear!!!

Yes £20 will be hard to beat, at that price it's probably fine for a bit of indoor racing. And if you need spares you could just buy another entire car!

It may be hard to find individual option parts and spares, as the car was generally considered to be a bit of a dog so was never that popular. But since you're paying £20 and not the £300 that the car in the picture would probably have cost with its carbon chassis, it should be an okay first TC.

That car seems to be missing the top deck that it would have needed with that chassis conversion, so unless it is inside that box the car is resting on, I would give it a miss.

The Pro3 was my first car when I got back into RC in 2001. I know it's chequered history well!

Despite all that it was actually one of the most driveable cars on the market for mid-range racers. The chassis flex that everyone complained about back then is right back in fashion nowadays!
