Wheel and tyre width

General Question
1/8th buggies use the same width wheels and tyres on the front and back, where as 1/10th use norrower fronts than the back.
Why is this?

The bigger the wheel the greater the gyroscopic efect which restricts steering responce.

Mostly down to weight distribution - Rx cars have more even distribution than 10OR cars, so they can carry more front wheel width. Also, electric cars have to be basic understeerers in order for mere mortals to drive them, so the narrower front tyre helps that too. HTH :)
