ARRMA @ Nuremberg Toyfair
New RTR brand ARRMA have a big stand at this years toyfair - at least in terms of new vehicles as they have a whopping 6 new vehicles on show. The one that caught our eye is their new 'Raider' buggy - no, thankfully not a revisit to the Kyosho monstrosity of the same name. The Raider is a 1/10th scale 2WD desert racer style buggy, which looks distinctly retro.
http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/misc/news/arrma1.jpg I WANT ONE - it even looks good without a shell! The Raider uses a twin vertical plate alloy chassis and has a neat 'frame buggy' look to it. The rest of the ARRMA stuff at nuremberg is all based on the same chassis but with different lengths here and there to adapt it to various uses, with desert trucks, Short Course trucks, racing-style buggies and even monster trucks coming out of the same basic 2WD chassis design. http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/misc/news/arrma2.jpg http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/misc/news/arrma3.jpg http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/misc/news/arrma4.jpg http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/misc/news/arrma5.jpg http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/misc/news/arrma7.jpg http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/misc/news/arrma8.jpg The vehicles will all apparently come with the 'ATX300' controller which has a unique swivel-wheel that'll adapt between left and right handed in a second - but it looks like a futuristic weapon of some sort so we like it. Check out the ARRMA website for loads more images - mostly CAD stuff it seems for now but we're told there's more coming. http://www.arrma-rc.com I just need to blag that Raider and I'll be happy. |
Looks like a mini HPI Baja, or a modern day Kyosho Ultima, coolio... dBoots tyres to.

I'm very happy another UK company making some quality products being designed in the UK aswell :D. And if connected to Durango then at least they have a working pipeline to get things made. I will say again, these look a lot of fun, can't wait to get one :D WANT ONE!!! J |

Looks like Ripmax have got this gig.
Nevermind |
These guys need to work on their public image! I subscribed months ago on their newsletter, only to find out by coincidence there's been an update on their site.
With the total lack on company info, the blatant big-talk marketing text and seemingly endless wait for a saleschannel I was under the impression this was another of these hong-kong companies |
Any word on these guys? The site hasn't seen an update since my previous post and I haven't heard anything new from other sources either.
