XX4 Front Diff or One Way
When I ran my XX4 back in 2000, I never ran it with a one-way diff in the front, but have since done this year, as it being recommended by a few people. At kidderminster outdoor regional at the end of september, I did quite well, but found the car very on edge, and didn't feel like I could push the car like I used to do, when it had the diff in the front!
I am doing Dudley indoor this weekend, and would like to know if it would be worthwhile trying the diff, to try and calm the car down a bit, especially on the carpet with minipins! Any comments welcome. Mark |
I ran mine with a diff pretty much exclusivly until recently. I like the way it brakes, but a one way is faster overall, if you can keep it on it's wheels ;)
You going to run a clicker of full time 4wd? |
I was going to run the clicker, with a soft spring, and loose setting, to generate as much one-way effect as possible.

Might just try it to see what happens...
I just thought it would be a bit more stable if it was like this, especially on a twisty indoor track. Mark |
