can anybody help me with e clip removal/insertion

I was about to put some bearings on my Mad rat, but realised that it uses e clips and not hex screws.
Can anybody tell me how you're meant to remove and insert these please? Cheers.

With a flat head screwdriver...just fit the corner of the driver into the little spaces of the 'E' and apply gentle consistent leverage.. it may 'ping' off so aim towards a pit towel.

To re-fit simply use long nose pliers and 'clip' it back on.

Hope that made sense...

Thanks Kaylon. I didn't have any pliers, but managed to do a simple successful job with my fingers and a precision driver.
Much easier than I thought it'd be too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TBKBEmyQiY ..plastic bag to catch the clip.

I sometimes use a Tamiya kit box spanner to fit the e clips,it makes it so easy.Theres some pics somewhere in one of Jimmy,s reviews ...cant remember where though
