New EFRA ruling on battery connections
well after looking on the EFRA site for sometrhing else i noticed a new ruling that states all batterys must be easily disconnected in event of any problems so no more soldering on direct!
see the official item http://www.efra.se/news/agm2007/2007..._batteries.pdf |
i can only say.. FINALLY!!
I always thought it was quite strange that soldering directly was allowed due to the possible need to dissconnect them quickly.
I don't think this ruling was passed. I believe they ran out of time before it could be submitted.
This is bad for me! i hate it
well on the bottom of that pdf it has the box crossed for "passed unanimously" :eh?:
can the brca implement the same rule on the grounds of safety etc even though the agm has already gone or will they have to wait until next yr's agm and put it to the vote?

Does this just mean you need a connector of some sort on it? I wasn't aware people were soldering directly from battery to speedo, at first i was trying to figure out how you got wires onto the ends of batteries without soldering them :eh?:
Yes, thats exactly what it means.
i bet mr deans and corally are happy though
Yes this one did get through the main agm at EFRA on the grounds of safety. The BRCA haven't done anything with it yet (which is fair as it's only 4/5 days since EFRA AGM) however, i know they are defenetly giving it some serious thought.
