Atomic Carbon 410ULTRA

Jonthan Clark from Atomic Carbon hinted recently about his upcoming Team Durango DEX410 project and has finally posted teaser shots of the '410Ultra' as he calls it.
http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/misc/news/410ultra.jpg

The 410Ultra is based around what looks to be a stunning 1-piece moulded carbon fibre tub chassis which look amazing and gives more room to fit electrics.

Jonathans car also has his own shock towers - with the rear dampers now mounted behind the suspension. Sadly the photos are all that he's saying about it at the moment but it sure does look nice. Check out Jonathans thread on oOple here: http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57505 for more info / photos / speculation!

Cool. With that thing you can fit electonics into it like a speedo and motor and a reciver!!! Very tasty looking. Very nice work JC.

i love the rear shock mod, bet that keeps the rear end planted good

Looks great JC
Very pure and simple
How is the rear mounting of the shocks going to make the rear more planted?
Cheers

Thats what we have found in early testing, more weight over the rear, and the driveshafts are now straight so the suspension does not bind up which free's up the rear end. I have watched many 410's on the track and i have always thought the rear end has not worked quite right. So my mod is what i think the solution is. There are also other mod's i would like to make but i don't have the kit to make the parts :bored:

Early days yet I know Jon, can you give any idea on when the conversion will come available & a rough cost :)

Well I'm glad I didn't buy the Tresrey chassis now, this looks incredible.

I like to have this on my Durango, is it for sale now and what are the price?

:-)

Hi JC
How is the wheel base compared to normal? It must be longer? Cause you can't move the rear diff/bulkheads forward to straighten the d/ shafts if you see what I am getting at
Looks JC like you also need some new bulkheads making for the rear? I appreciate it's early days , testing required etc
Looks sexy though , I really like it
Very interesting
I am running the reversed b4 rear end assembley on my dex rear like the proto 2005 Durango! looks cool but is exactly the same geometry lol
W/ bones
Hubs
Bearings and CCDs
A bit of fun:)
