Another batt setup...

Hi Mates

hope it gives sence to open this topic.

Im just interested to mod my X6sq chassi to fit this funny Losi lipo...

http://www.losi.com/Products/Feature...rodId=LOSB9880

seems it requires to open only the front batt wall and will fit inbetween the motor and servo perfectly.
Inspired by the 22 Ill try to put my ESC on the top of selfmade battstrap.

does anybody tried it out?

3800mAh is more than enough for racing and the weight centering is more narrow as in case of the saddles...maybe.

Some brass plate under this batt will be an option.

ps....where da hell can I buy this lipo?????

cheers

Peter

Peter, the Losi LIPO is not out yet, they are exepected to arrive around the time of their 22 buggy. Only thing to be careful of is not to make the front of your X6 Sq "too" light with this type of set up....

I think it would be OK with this battery on carpet, on clay it will need work with brass

hi Guys

Both of you are right...

weight... there will be still enough place for the servo ballast...basically this area will be not disturbed by the battery. So with more front weight we can go ahead.
Anyway a sheet of lead or brass could be put under the battery if there is stability problem.
To get more rear grip, the side cases can be fullfilled with ballast.

I cant wait to test this lipo. Hope, it will open for the family new setup possibilities and our lovely X6sq will showes its ass again to the rest of 2WDs:lol:

ps. If it gives sence to test it, I think Ellis will be the first guy, who will destroy one chassis and push the Exee :D

all waiting for feedback

Will these new batteries be out in time to pass BRCA regulations or have they already.

They have been submitted, but like everyone else we are all just waiting patiently for the 2011 LIPO list to arrive now to clarify what is legal (or not)
