just wondered if anyone could identify the speedo below, it is LRP and I need to know its motor limit so I can beef things up a bit :)
|
LRP quantum Competition (or competition 2). Either way, I think the official motor limit was 5 turn from memory.
|
Looks like a Quantum 3. No motor limit on those bad boys :)
Edit: Nope, its a Quantum 1 comp. |
cheers guys, I wont be going lower than that or my mardave cobra box will be in more pieces than Jordans marriage.......
|
LRP Quantum 1 comp, you can tell by the red around the mode and set and the lettering ;);):D
|
so we think it has a low or no limit, thats a plus, just need a hot ass motor now
(yes I do have spare front wishbones) |
I think MattW is right with 5 turn. Thats still pretty low tho :)

Based on rebuilding a cobra I had for a short while, plus what others have said in previous topics.
The issue seems to be that as the idler doesn't have a seperate bar to run on, it's all moulded as one piece, which makes it the weakest point in the gearbox. As long as you don't run too hot a motor and the slipper works it should be ok (check the mardave site for the 'new' slipper if yours doesn't have one). But it was more of a comment about how cheap they are! There's lots of useful info in here: http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27465 |
