S9550 Vs KO2413

Hi All,

I have one each of these and a buggy and a tourer to put them in, anyone knows which is best suited to which discipline?

I think a few people at the worlds off road were using the S9550, but not sure if the KO one is ok for touring?

Looking at the specs, the Ko is better in all respects. I got the KO and have used it in the Tamiya 501X for a while. The torque isn't amazing (but better than the futaba) but it's fast enough and has taken the punishment so far.
Both fine for touring - whether either are fine for off-road depends how much of an animal you are I suppose, but I've not heard too many complaints.

No problems with my KO either, in offroad

i have been running an S9550 in my 4wd for a couple of years now, initially i bought one to go in my X10, as it allowed me to get the esc in behind it, and then I swapped to a ZX5 and put it in that....

to cut a long story short, the S9550 has never let me down, and I drive the lazer a lot more aggressively than I ever drove the X10 :o

By "how much of an animal", do you mean in crashes terms, or just aggressive steering!?

I am pretty aggresive in terms of wanting sharp turn in!

crashes I guess - but I've given my KO a real beating and it's been fine. It clearly doesn't have the power of some of my other servos but it feels fine when on the track.

I have the 9550 so I could get the Novak GTB behind the Servo in my yokomo Bx without the pulley nut eating away at my ESC... I KO has the better specs but the Futaba was only around £45 in China so I could not resist it. Seems fine so far :)
