I've been awake since 5.30am (although still in bed....!).

Not that I'm condoning this guys actions, but that sentence seems pretty harsh for what seems to be petty theft. Thing is, if there was consistency in the judicial system then that sentence would be ok. What is ridiculous however is that more serious criminals often get a more lenient sentence. Go figure.

Given this was a story about a 30 year old and stealing toy cars, it did also make me chuckle somewhat :D

Ya missed my point. You see far worse crimes getting a lesser sentence. It was a dig at the judicial system in this country. If it was down to me then I would agree with you both, lock them up for as long as possible

Glad he's gone down to be honest. At the end of the day he not only stole the RC stuff but a full size car....then ruined someone elses car.

But Wayne you are right, people do get less for worse.

Sad thing is, he'll be out in 6 month and be doing it again.

You always know round here how long crim's get inside, because you'll see all the abandoned stolen cars dumped at the side of the dual carriageway when they're out.

Having recently been burgled myslef i agree!! i would happly chop their hands off and shove them up their ....... you get the picture!
