501X ~ DF-03 Wheelbase Comparison
 

Would like to compare the dimensions of the two cars.

Specifically looking for the wheelbase dimension of the 501x (measured between the front and rear axles) and also the width of the track on both front and rear wheels (measured to the outside wall of the tyres)

Can anyone help me???

Surely this can't be top secret info!!!!, ;)

501X wheelbase 285mm +/- 2mm using the spacers equal either side or all on one side of wish bone.

501X front and rear track to outside of tyres is approx. 240mm.

I was going to reply, but I've just started rebuilding my TRF501X after it's winter overhaul.

Thanks guys, will check it against my DF-03 tonight.

It would be interesting to check these dims, particularly the ratio of length - width against other popular 4x4's

OK, checked my DF-03 Dims as follows

Wheelbase (between axles) = 270mm, Track approx 245mm

Ratio length to width for DF-03 approx 1.102

Ratio length to width for 501x approx 1.1875

I've put the Mono 7 cell chassis together now and it is 25mm longer than the standard chassis.
This makes the wheel base 10mm longer than the TRF501.
Should be interesting.

Can you post some photos, would like to see what the fit of the body shell looks like on the rear, does it look a little short?
