Time to pay big freeze bills

Owch just got my gas bill from BG. £309 the bill before was £72 for the quarter.
and its nice to know quote bg We know you trust us to keep your account in order so we reglarly check you are paying the correct amount to cover the energy you are using. On this occasion we have found your DD needs to chage.
So they put it up by £8 a month..
Funny how before this bill I was over £150 in credit but their checks never took my DD down.

Things in this country are getting grimmer by the day, 20% Tax, £20 rise in filling up an average car with unleaded, house hold bills etc!!!

I have worked in full time employment since I was 19, have a good steady job and despite my new pay rise feel like Im actually getting poorer by the year.

I have never once claimed any type of money/handouts from the goverment and am proud of that fact yet there are still people who siply aint bothered to work!

Which country has the best standard of living and lowest tax etc???
