B4 Front Wheels
 

Are there any set backs from using the Slimmer front wheels rather than the Proline ones which are slightly wider.

Are these slimmer wheels for the b4 ? if not they might be the wrong off set ?

but anyway, I think the thinner wheels are more agressive, they make the tyres more rounded and dig in more, in my experience.

Depends on what tyres you are using. Slim mini's although they sit 'nicer' on the rim, do tend to make the front ubber twitchy (in my experience) whereas the wider front rims stretch the tyres and make the spike angle more freindly.

If you want to run staggered ribs then narrow is the way to go.

wider rims makes the car easier to drive, far more consistant and the car feels nicer overall.

slim wheels make the car feel more nimble, maybe more direct and slightly harder (in my experience) to drive consistant.

That will be my bit of script not working after the update then.. lol..

Cheers, I have been using the wide ones and find them ok. i drive with lots of steering rate and tend to suffer from grip role. (probably just me). I have found that i can set a curve for the steering graph on the TX so will try that.

Just when you have the Slim mini spikes on the wide rims doesnt seem much point trimming any spikes off the outside to cure it.

most people cut inside and outside rows off there front tyres no matter what size the rim is, if you're suffering from grip roll then cutting the outsidespikes off will definatly help you out and still maintain the frontal grip you require.

i had the same problem at bury this sunday just gone and cut the outisde row off, still had the same issue, although it was driveable. for the final i cut all the inside off too as i saw the grip was really coming up and my car improoved imencely. i was on pace for 4th in the A final with my final time before i broke my car. 100% improovement :)
